God or julie...

So it's about that time you check some new bands out... as well as myself. One band that has been on radar is 'God or Julie'.

God or Julie, a band from somewhere in New York, has a smooth sound. Subtle piano and guitar rifts make for a great sound that doesn't get caught up in the cookie cutterness of other bands these days.

If you were a fan of Matchbook Romance then you must already know that old MR drummer, Aaron Stern is the drummer for God or Julie, who once was flown out to the Projekt Revolution tour to sit in for Taking Back Sunday on the drums!

Trust me, this will be one band that is on the slow rise. Check em out!

Taste of Chaos LineUp

Avenged Sevenfold is to headline this years Taste of Chaos Tour! They will be touring with Atreyu, Bullet For my Vallentine and Bless the Fall.

Pennywise Giving Away Presents Before Christmas is Even Here!

Written on MySpace, Pennywise is going to give away there new CD! This is what was written:

On March 25, 2008, in addition to a traditional CD release, the new Pennywise album will be available for FREE for download on MYSpace for two weeks. If you'd rather buy the actual physical CD or vinyl album, it will be available everywhere you usually buy your music, but for the people who have been trying to download our music for free illegally on the web, we worked out an arrangement for you to get our new music for free for two weeks, without the feds coming after you. All you have to do is add myspace.com/textango as a friend...and everyone who is a friend by 3/25/08 will get the entire album for free. CLICK HERE to add them as a friend now.
You won't get any spam or crap like that and the download will be high quality and DRM free. The physical CD you can buy in stores will come with a bonus exclusive DVD and there will also be a limited-edition vinyl version that includes 2 additional tracks all available on March 25th - so stay tuned for more info on that.

We're offering the new album free for download because we want as many people as possible to hear our music, but we know a lot people don't have the resources to do so, and after years of putting out albums we think it's time to give back to the fans who have stuck with us over the years.

Senses Fail Loses a Bass Player

Today Senses Fail posted something on their myspace informing fans that Mike Glita, bass, has parted ways with Senses Fail. Here is what was written:

" Dear Loyal Fans,




We regret to inform you today that our bassist, Mike Glita, has decided to part ways with the band. There are no hard feelings involved with his decision; Mike simply wants to move on and pursue personal ventures and feats he has put on hold for the last 5 years. We all had a good talk about it and wish him nothing but the best.


Something Mike would like to say to the fans: "Thanks to everyone who supported the band and me through 'thick and thin' over the past 5 ½ years. You'll be missed greatly."


As for the four of us (Buddy, Dan, Garrett, Heath), we will continue Senses Fail and see you all next year on tour. We began the writing process last week for our follow up to Still Searching and will keep everyone up to date with videos, photos and blogs!


Again, apologies go out to the loyal fans for the bad news, but we hope you support his decision as much as we do.
